OWI has made robotic arm technology more affordable without compromising quality. With Robotic Arm Edge, command the gripper to open and close, wrist motion of 120 degrees, an extensive elbow range of 300 degrees, base rotation of 270 degrees, base motion of 180 degrees, vertical reach of 15 inches, horizontal reach of 12.6 inches, and lifting capacity of 100g. WOW!   Some of the added features include a search light design on the gripper and a safety gear audible indicator is included on all five gear boxes to prevent any potential injury or gear breakage during operation. How does this equate to fun?

    Best even for the tenative

Posted by Unknown on 4th May 2012

This was my first robot. As a 26 year old girl with not much robot experience (ok, any robot experience) this was fantastic! No sodering, which I loved. Great instructions. A fantastic purchase for anyone who loves to tinker.

Fun project to build. One of the best instruction manuals I have used. Fun to play with after you build it.

Great Introduction To the Robotics Hobby

Posted by Unknown on 22nd Jan 2011

I am 34 and have always dreamed of building a robot. This introduced me to the basics and was a lot of fun to build. It also required a lot of patience to work with the smaller parts. It is important not to over tighten the pincer assembly as it will trip the safety switches and not allow the pincer assembly to work right. Overall a very good product.

as a 12 year old boy building and playing with this robot was an awesome experience. I highly suggest it for a present. Also when making the head or grabbers, make sure you use the right metal poles

    Kid very happy

Posted by Cesvasquez on 13th Jul 2010

I bought this for my 9 year old son. He couldn't stop working in the assembly until he finished about 8 hours later. He did it all by himself just following the drawings in the manual since he doesn't speak english. He loves this project from the beginning.
