Arachnoid Does Not Move After Adding Salt Water
If the arachnoid does not move once you've inserted the fuel cell into the rear, first make sure you are using enough salt in your salt water mixture (you can't use too much, but it is possible to use too little). Next, make sure you have the 3 layers in the correct order, it should be black cathode, white nonwoven fabric and the magnesium plate on top. Finally, when you insert the fuel cell into the back of the Arachnoid, do so slowly, do not just push it all the way in. You want to make sure that the contacts leading to the motor is fully touching the fuel cell. Slowly insert the fuel cell until you hear the wheels on the bottom start to move. Feel free to move the fuel cell back and forth until you hit the right spot.
ALSO
- Make sure motor and gears are installed in the right position.
- Make sure each connector is set in the right position (Refer to step 16)
- Make sure to cut off the burrs cleanly on part B3 and B4
- Replace the magnesium sheet if it is too eroded.
- Make sure the air cathode's black side is facing up (Refer to step 19)
- Nonwoven fabric is also used to isolate the air cathode and magnesium sheet, make sure the 2 parts do not come into contact with each other.
- Salt water will easily cause oxidization, scratch oxide from the battery connectors and also magnesium sheet before reuse.
